How fresh is your coffee?

Every bag of Gun Powder Grinds coffee is roasted to order. We don't roast until you order, which means your coffee is never sitting on a shelf for weeks or months. You'll receive coffee that's been roasted within days of shipping, ensuring maximum freshness and flavor.

What's the roast date on my coffee?

Coffee is freshest within 2-4 weeks of roasting, and we recommend using it within that window for peak flavor. However, properly stored coffee stays delicious for several weeks beyond that.

What grind size should I choose?

We offer several grind options to match your brewing method:

  • Whole Bean: Best for maximum freshness—grind right before brewing
  • Coarse: French press, percolator, cold brew
  • Medium: Drip coffee makers, pour over
  • Fine: Espresso machines, Moka pot
  • Extra Fine: Turkish coffee

Are your coffees organic?

Some of our single origin coffees are certified organic (like our Honduras coffee). We prioritize quality and sustainability across all our coffees, working with farmers who use environmentally friendly practices. Check individual product descriptions for organic certification details.

Do you offer decaf?

Yes! Our Peru Decaf is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process—a chemical-free method that preserves the coffee's natural flavors. It's perfect for evening coffee or anyone sensitive to caffeine.

What's the difference between single origin and blends?

Single Origin: Coffee from one specific region or farm, showcasing unique flavors from that area's terroir (soil, climate, processing).

Blends: Coffee from multiple origins combined to create a balanced, consistent flavor profile. Great for everyday drinking.

📦 Shipping & Delivery

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer free shipping on all orders inside the USA.

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically ship within 2-3 business days of roasting. Once shipped, delivery takes:

  • 2-5 business days for standard shipping (USPS)
  • 1-3 business days for expedited shipping (if selected)

You'll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order ships.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship within the United States only. We're working on international shipping options—stay tuned!

Can I track my order?

Absolutely! You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. You can also track your order by logging into your account on our website.

What if my coffee arrives damaged?

We package every order carefully, but if something arrives damaged, contact us immediately at gunpowdergrindscoffee@gmail.com. We'll make it right with a replacement or refund.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Because we roast to order, we start processing orders quickly. If you need to modify or cancel, contact us at gunpowdergrindscoffee@gmail.com as soon as possible. If we haven't roasted your coffee yet, we'll be happy to make changes.

Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?

Yes! We work with fire departments, police stations, military units, and businesses. Contact us at gunpowdergrindscoffee@gmail.com for wholesale pricing and custom orders.

Can I set up a subscription?

We're working on a subscription program! In the meantime, you can easily reorder your favorites anytime. Sign up for our email list to be notified when subscriptions launch.

Can I send coffee as a gift?

Absolutely! During checkout, you can enter a different shipping address for the recipient. Want to include a gift message? Add it in the order notes, and we'll include it with the shipment.

What are Sample Packs?

How should I store my coffee?

To keep your coffee fresh:

  • Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place
  • Avoid the fridge or freezer—moisture and odors affect flavor
  • Keep away from heat, light, and moisture
  • Buy whole beans and grind fresh for each brew (if possible)

Properly stored coffee stays fresh for 2-4 weeks after roasting.

How do I brew the best cup of coffee?

What's the best coffee-to-water ratio?

The golden ratio is 1:16 (1 gram of coffee per 16 grams of water). In practical terms:

  • 2 tablespoons coffee = 6 oz water (standard cup)
  • 4 tablespoons coffee = 12 oz water (large mug)

Adjust to taste—use more coffee for stronger brew, less for milder.

Gun Powder Grinds Coffee was created to honor and fuel the hardworking people who serve and protect our communities—veterans, first responders, law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, and blue-collar workers. Every bag we roast is a tribute to those who work when others sleep, who run toward danger, and who keep our communities safe.

Yes! We partner with and support organizations that serve veterans, first responders, and their families.

What's your return policy?
